Police and Transport Authority Conduct Roadworthiness Checks on Mudik Bus Fleet in Bogor
Combined officials conducted a roadworthiness inspection (ramp check) of buses at a transport company in the Cileungsi area of Bogor, West Java. The inspection was carried out to check buses designated for the mudik migration season.
“Today, we from the Bogor District Transport Authority are working with a team that includes personnel from Subdenpom 3/1-3 Cibinong, Bogor Police, the Health Service, and Jasa Raharja. We are conducting a ramp check or traffic safety inspection,” said Risnandar, Head of Road Transportation Infrastructure at Bogor District Transport Authority, on Wednesday (11 March 2026).
The initial inspection involved examining vehicle documentation. Subsequently, the technical condition of the buses was assessed.
“We also conduct inspection of the bus crew’s documentation,” he added.
Health screenings were also performed on various bus crew members. Urine tests were carried out to ensure bus drivers were free from the influence of narcotics.
“During this ramp check activity, we conducted special health examinations for bus crew members with the assistance of colleagues from the Bogor District Health Service. We also carried out urine testing to ensure all vehicle crew members are free from drug influence,” he stated.
The inspection covered approximately 45 buses at the transport company. Based on preliminary inspection results, the buses examined were in roadworthy condition.
“Of the inspection we have conducted, eight units have all been declared technically fit for operation and ready to be deployed. As for the remainder, we will await completion,” he explained.
