The National Police (Polri) headquarters partnered with journalists to distribute a total of 1,500 meals and iftar provisions to communities. The iftar distribution initiative took place across several locations surrounding Polri headquarters in South Jakarta.

The event, held on Tuesday 10 March 2026 in the afternoon, was initiated by journalists and supported by Polri personnel. This sharing initiative is carried out regularly every year.

“This is an annual agenda between Polri and all our media friends and journalists at Trunojoyo Polri headquarters. We collaborate and work together to share the wisdom and contribute to the blessings of Ramadan,” said Brigadier General Trunoyudo Wisnu Andiko, Head of Public Relations Division at Polri, following the event.

Trunoyudo stated that through this synergy, Polri and journalists work together to share the blessings and contribute to Ramadan’s spiritual rewards.

“Each year we distribute meals in the form of iftar and food to communities as they approach breaking their fast, whilst still in the midst of their work,” explained Trunoyudo.

“These include motorcycle taxi drivers and other public transport drivers. This reflects our shared attention and empathy,” he added.

During the event, Trunoyudo expressed hopes that the upcoming exodus period would proceed smoothly. He assured that all police personnel have prepared maximum service for the public.

He urged the public to exercise caution during their travels. He reminded them that the primary objective of the exodus is to arrive at their hometowns safely.

“Safety is the most important aspect of the exodus—reaching your destination, not speed,” he emphasised.

Regarding this, Trunoyudo also appealed to the public not to hesitate in reporting or entrusting their vehicles and homes during the exodus to the nearest police station.

“Inform the village heads and neighbourhood leaders who remain behind, and especially inform Polri officers through the Community Police (Bhabinkamtibmas). There is also vehicle storage available at police sectors or police offices. Please make use of these services,” he concluded.
