Polda Metro still awaiting forensic lab results on Sutrimo's death
Jakarta Metropolitan Police (Polda Metro Jaya) are still waiting for the results of forensic laboratory examinations to reveal the exact cause of death of Sutrimo, while confirming that 27 witnesses have been questioned during the investigation process.
“We are still waiting for the forensic laboratory results, but what is certain is that up to this moment, 27 witnesses have been examined in the investigation process,” said Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya, Senior Commissioner Budi Hermanto, in Jakarta on Tuesday.
Budi explained that investigators continue to communicate intensively with the medical team. The forensic laboratory test results, which include examinations related to whether or not there is any poison content in the victim’s body, are expected to be received by investigators this week.
“Hopefully this week, because it is the lab that is working. Therefore, we also hope that after the lab results come in, the forensic medical team will deliver them. They are the experts in their respective fields,” said Budi.
Polda Metro Jaya has examined 27 witnesses to uncover the cause of death of the household head and caretaker of former junior attorney general for special crimes (jampidsus) Febrie Adriansyah, which is considered unnatural because he was found in front of a clinic in the Kebayoran Baru area, South Jakarta.
“The latest development is that we have conducted examinations of 27 witnesses,” said Budi Hermanto during a press conference in Jakarta on Wednesday (19/8).
“Investigators also examined representatives from three hospitals, consisting of two security officers and one doctor, two body washing officers, seven witnesses around the scene, three family members of the deceased, one friend of the deceased, and one village official,” said Budi.
In addition, investigators also requested information from three parties related to the report at the National Police Criminal Investigation Department (Bareskrim Polri). The case involves two police reports, namely at Bareskrim Polri and Banyumas Police Resort.
