Polda Metro Security Tightened Ahead of Don Ritto's Transfer to Prosecutors

The Metro Jaya Regional Police are transferring corruption suspect Don Ritto (DR) to the Indonesian Attorney General’s Office (Kejagung) today. Don Ritto will be handed over along with evidence including cash and gold this afternoon.

“After Friday prayers, the case files, investigation administration, evidence, and the suspect will be handed over for the continuation of case handling from the joint investigation by the Corruption Eradication Task Force (Kortas Tipikor) and Polda Metro Jaya, with further handling by investigators from the Attorney General’s Office,” said Polda Metro Jaya Head of Public Relations, Senior Commissioner Budi Hermanto, to reporters at Monas, Central Jakarta, on Thursday (17/7/2026).

Budi stated that the handover will be conducted directly to the Attorney General’s Office. He added that further details will be provided during the transfer process at the Kejagung building.

“This afternoon we will hand him over, and there may also be a statement from the prosecution,” Budi explained.

Currently, the Directorate of Detainees and Evidence (Dittahti) is making preparations. A detention vehicle belonging to Dittahti is already parked at the Dittahti Closed General Warehouse. Several fully armed Brimob personnel are also on guard near the vehicle. Additionally, tight security is visible around the Dittahti Closed General Warehouse area.
