Jakarta - Polda Metro Jaya has reminded all parties not to obstruct the investigation into alleged corruption and money laundering involving state-owned enterprises PT PLN (Persero), PT Asabri (Persero), and PT Krakatau Steel. The cases relate to a blackout under PLN’s management, alleged corruption at Asabri and Jiwasraya from 2020 to 2025, and suspected money laundering in the debt settlement process between PT CBS and PT KNI. “We are conveying to anyone who tries to obstruct the investigation process that they can be processed under Article 21 of the Corruption Eradication Law,” said Polda Metro Jaya Head of Public Relations, Commissioner Budi Hermanto, in Cipete, South Jakarta, on Wednesday. Budi urged all parties to respect the legal process being carried out by the police. Although he did not specify any particular party, his warning was directed at anyone who might attempt to interfere with the ongoing investigation. “We need to convey to you all that we urge all parties to respect the process being conducted by the Police,” he said. Polda Metro Jaya and the National Police Headquarters adhere to the principles of professionalism, proportionality, and accountability, and assert that all police actions can be accounted for. When asked about the deployment of heavily armed personnel during the searches, Budi stated that it was part of the procedure carried out by the field team. “The use of force by personnel is a precautionary measure and part of the Standard Operating Procedure carried out by the Police,” he said. A total of eight locations were searched simultaneously, including a cafe and a money changer in Cipete, South Jakarta, which were visited by the police on Wednesday. The investigation is being conducted in accordance with SOPs concerning the three related cases.
