Polda Metro Jaya Provides Psychological Support to Three Confinement Victims

Jakarta (ANTARA) - Polda Metro Jaya, together with the Central Jakarta Metro Resort Police, is providing psychological support and health examinations to three victims of an alleged confinement case discovered in the Central Jakarta area. “The aim is to ensure these individuals are in good health, both physically and psychologically,” said Senior Commissioner Ida Bagus Gede Adi Putra, Head of the Psychology Division at Polda Metro Jaya’s Human Resources Bureau, in a statement on Friday. He stated that this step is crucial so that the victims can properly participate in all stages of the ongoing legal process. The support and medical examination activities took place at the Legal Aid Institute (LBH) office on Jalan Kwini Number 9, Senen, Central Jakarta, on Thursday (2/7), involving the Polda Metro Jaya Human Resources Psychology Team, the Medical and Health Team, the Central Jakarta Metro Resort Police, and accompanied by the victims’ legal counsel. According to Ida, the joint team has conducted an initial assessment of the three victims’ conditions. The results of this examination will serve as a reference for subsequent support measures, tailored to the victims’ needs. “Later, we will certainly coordinate with our investigators regarding what else is needed. Everything is a process to assist the investigation and other procedures so that this case becomes clearer,” said Ida. Although the victims are currently considered cooperative and able to follow the initial assessment process well, he revealed that their psychological condition still requires in-depth evaluation and monitoring. Polda Metro Jaya is committed to continuing to facilitate and provide health services as well as ongoing psychological support during the victims’ recovery period. “The main priority is for the victims to recover, both physically and mentally,” Ida stressed.
