Polda Metro Jaya Involves Forensic Laboratory to Investigate Sutrimo's Death

The Jakarta Metropolitan Police, together with the South Jakarta Police, have involved the National Police’s Forensic Laboratory (Puslabfor) to investigate the cause of death of a man named Sutrimo, which is considered unnatural. Head of Public Relations for the Jakarta Metropolitan Police, Senior Commissioner Budi Hermanto, stated that the involvement of Puslabfor is intended to obtain scientific evidence through a crime scene investigation conducted on Sunday (26/7). “We also understand the concerns and questions arising in the community. To ascertain the cause of death of Mr S, the police are conducting a crime scene investigation involving Puslabfor and a series of other investigative measures,” Budi said in a statement in Jakarta on Wednesday. He explained that the forensic team from Puslabfor has secured and taken several samples from the scene for in-depth laboratory examination to detect clues or physical evidence related to the victim’s death. “In addition to conducting a scientific crime investigation with Puslabfor, the joint investigative team is also continuing to gather additional field facts,” Budi said. Budi also emphasised that all findings are being thoroughly and transparently investigated to ensure the exact cause of the victim’s death objectively. Previously, the police conducted a crime scene investigation to probe the death of a man named Sutrimo in front of a clinic in the Kebayoran Baru area, South Jakarta. Based on observations at the location, police began removing the police line installed on the fence of the beauty clinic at 1:11 PM Western Indonesia Time on Monday (27/7). Several members of the Puslabfor team, dressed in black, were seen entering the clinic’s inner courtyard. They were also observed carrying several pieces of evidence, including a black box, a pillow with a green sheet, and several items in clear plastic bags. They then opened the clinic’s entrance door and removed the police line.
