Polda Metro Jaya Holds Bhayangkara Day Celebration in Tangerang
Polda Metro Jaya held a thanksgiving event to commemorate the 80th Bhayangkara Day, centred in the courtyard of the Cisauk District Office, Tangerang Regency, Banten, on Wednesday. Head of Logistics for Polda Metro Jaya, Senior Commissioner Yandri Irsan, explained that the 80th Bhayangkara Day commemoration serves as an important means to strengthen closeness and partnership between the Indonesian National Police and the community. “Through this Bhayangkara Day thanksgiving activity, we want to continue strengthening togetherness with the community. The police cannot work alone, so the support and participation of residents is very important in maintaining security and order,” said Yandri in Tangerang on Wednesday. On this occasion, Senior Commissioner Yandri Irsan cut the 80th Bhayangkara Day tumpeng, which was then symbolically handed over to the Cisauk Sub-district Head as a tangible manifestation of synergy between the police and the sub-district level government. In addition to the tumpeng cutting procession, Polda Metro Jaya also distributed basic food aid to representatives of the Community Security and Order Awareness Group, Cisauk Banser, Pemuda Pancasila, the general public, online motorcycle taxi drivers, and students. “We hope this basic food aid can provide benefits to the community. This is also a form of Polda Metro Jaya’s concern for residents, especially during the Bhayangkara Day momentum,” he said. To enliven the atmosphere, the committee also organised a sack race competition participated in by children around the event location, and provided a special stand for Cisauk District MSMEs to market their products. Yandri expressed hope that this series of community activities would continue to strengthen the harmonious relationship between police officers and residents in maintaining regional conduciveness. “Hopefully the momentum of the 80th Bhayangkara Day will further strengthen the spirit of the Indonesian National Police to be present, to serve, and to provide benefits to the community,” he said.
