Polda Metro Jaya Holds Bhayangkara Day Celebration in Tangerang
The Metro Jaya Regional Police held a thanksgiving ceremony to commemorate the 80th Bhayangkara Day, centred at the Cisauk District Office courtyard, Tangerang Regency, Banten, on Wednesday.
The Head of Logistics Bureau (Karolog) of Metro Jaya Regional Police, Kombes Pol Yandri Irsan, explained in a statement in Jakarta on Wednesday that this 80th Bhayangekara Day momentum serves as an important means to strengthen the closeness and partnership between the National Police and the public.
“Through this Bhayangkara Day thanksgiving activity, we want to continue to strengthen togetherness with the community. The National Police cannot work alone, so the support and participation of citizens are very important in maintaining security and order,” Yandri said in Tangerang on Wednesday.
During the event, Kombes Pol Yandri Irsan performed the traditional cutting of the ‘tumpeng’ (ceremonial rice cone) for the 80th Bhayangkara Day, which was then symbolically presented to the Cisauk District Head as a tangible manifestation of the synergy between the Police and the district-level government.
In addition to the tumpeng cutting procession, the Metro Jaya Regional Police also distributed basic food supplies to representatives of the Community Security and Order Group (Pokdar Kamtibmas), Banser Cisauk, Pemuda Pancasila, the general public, online motorcycle taxi drivers, and students.
“We hope this food aid can provide benefits to the community. This is also a form of care from the Metro Jaya Regional Police towards the citizens, especially during the Bhayangkara Day momentum,” he said.
To enliven the atmosphere, the committee also organised sack races for children in the surrounding area and provided special stalls for MSMEs from the Cisauk District to market their products.
Yandri expressed hope that this series of community activities would continue to fortify the harmonious relationship between the police force and citizens in maintaining regional stability.
“Hopefully, this 80th Bhayangkara Day momentum will further strengthen the spirit of the National Police to be present, serve, and provide benefits to the community,” he said.
