Jakarta (ANTARA) - Polda Metro Jaya has affirmed that the case involving the acid attack on activist and Deputy Coordinator of KontraS Andrie Yunus has been handed over to the TNI. “We reiterate that the case file has already been transferred, and the authority of the Metro Jaya Police investigators ends there,” said the Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya, Police Commissioner Budi Hermanto, when responding to the possibility of further investigations in Jakarta on Wednesday. The transfer was also conveyed by the Director of General Criminal Investigation of Polda Metro Jaya, Police Commissioner Iman Imanuddin, during a meeting with Commission III of the DPR RI on Tuesday (31/3). “Polda Metro Jaya has also submitted the investigation results and digital evidence,” he said. Personnel from the Metro Jaya Regional Police attended the meeting with Commission III of the DPR RI, which discussed the acid attack case on the activist and KontraS Deputy Coordinator Andrie Yunus, and stated that the case has been handed over to the TNI. Dirreskrimum Polda Metro Jaya, Police Commissioner Iman Imanuddin, briefly conveyed this at the start of the meeting. According to him, the case was transferred to the TNI after the police uncovered facts from the investigation. “After we found facts from the investigation results, we can now report to the leadership that the matter has been handed over to Puspom TNI,” said Iman at the parliamentary complex in Jakarta on Tuesday (31/3). Following that, the Chairman of Commission III of the DPR RI, Habiburokhman, asked Iman if there was any further information to provide. However, Iman did not continue his statement, so Habiburokhman invited Andrie Yunus’s legal representatives, who were also present at the meeting, to provide further details. “There are already two conclusions, and depending on the situation, we will always hold such meetings as there are developments,” said Habiburokhman.
