Poland's Growth Becomes Indonesia's Trade Opportunity
JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com — The Indonesian Embassy in Warsaw is organising two strategic business forums in Krakow and Łódź on 21 April and 23 April 2026 to promote the achievements of Trade, Tourism, and Investment Indonesia, while taking advantage of the momentum from Poland’s economic growth.
The first forum, titled Indonesia–Poland Business Forum: Partnering with Indonesia: Investment, Trade & Workforce Forum, will be held in Krakow on 21 April 2026 in collaboration with the Ma?opolska Agency for Regional Development.
The event will feature Trade Attaché of the Indonesian Embassy in Berlin Febi Adrian, Director of the Indonesia Investment Promotion Centre London Siti Tiefryani Fahlyah, and Economic Function Coordinator of the Indonesian Embassy in Warsaw Fatimah Alatas.
“Europe is a strategic region for promoting Indonesia’s flagship products, with significant opportunities to enhance bilateral trade relations between Indonesia and Poland,” said Febi Adrian in a statement to Kompas.com on Monday (27/4/2026).
The forum will be attended by the Special Envoy of the Governor of Ma?opolska Province for Entrepreneurship Development and Labour Market, Director of the Ma?opolska Centre for Entrepreneurship, President of the Board of the Ma?opolska Regional Development Agency, as well as Polish business actors.
Subsequently, the Indonesian Embassy in Warsaw will also serve as a speaker in the seminar “Doing Business in ASEAN” in Łódź on 23 April 2026, in collaboration with the Łódź Provincial Government.
Through this event, the Indonesian Embassy in Warsaw will introduce Indonesia’s potential to strategic Polish institutions such as the Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH), the National Support Centre for Agriculture (KOWR), and local business actors.
Amid Poland’s economic growth and demographic challenges, the Indonesian Embassy in Warsaw emphasises the potential of Indonesia’s predominantly young and productive workforce to support Poland’s labour market needs, including opportunities for vocational training cooperation and talent exchange.
The Indonesian Embassy in Warsaw is also encouraging the utilisation of the momentum from the completion of the Indonesia–EU Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (IEU-CEPA), which is targeted to take effect on 1 January 2027.
Under this agreement, more than 90 per cent of tariff lines will become zero per cent, and Poland has the potential to become a gateway for Indonesian products to the Central and Eastern European region.
