Poisonous centipede

I live in a well-known housing complex in North Jakarta. I
have been told that this area used to be rice fields, fishponds
or moors.

What is clear is that before the houses were built, the land
was filled in with any material available.

Our problem now is that there are poisonous centipedes coming
up through the drain in our bathroom. Every day I have to kill no
less than ten of these insects. Some of the insects also invade
our bedroom and find their way to the mattress. This is horrible!
Imagine if they get in our ear.

Some time ago my husband was bitten on the neck by one of
these insects while washing his hair. We all have to be on guard
against these disgusting insects.

We would appreciate it if anyone could tell us the best way to
get rid of these poisonous centipedes.
