POCO X8s Set to Debut as Fourth Model in POCO X8 Series
POCO is set to expand its X8 lineup with the POCO X8s in the global market, following the release of previous models such as the POCO X8 Pro, POCO X8 Pro Max, and the standard POCO X8.
According to a report from Ximitime on Thursday (24/9) local time, this new model is expected to launch soon, based on official listing details indicating an imminent release. Based on certification databases in China, the POCO X8s carries the global model number 2609CPC5FG and the Chinese market model number M583CF.
The code “2609” suggests a launch window around September 2026, indicating that an announcement or availability is approaching. Unlike previous models in the X8 series, the POCO X8s will be sold under the Redmi brand in China.
Regarding its sales regions, the POCO X8s will be marketed in China, Europe, Russia, Turkey, and other global markets. Leaked information confirms a 50 MP main camera setup for the POCO X8s. The device supports multiple focal lengths for photography, including 0.6X ultra-wide, 1X standard, and 2.5X zoom.
The 2.5X zoom may be achieved through pixel binning or a dedicated telephoto lens, although specific technical details have not yet been disclosed. The addition of this new model signifies POCO’s determination to continue the X8 series despite the staggered launch dates of previous models.
The brand first released the POCO X8 Pro and Pro Max in January 2026, followed by the POCO X8 in July. The upcoming POCO X8s will continue this product line, offering updated camera capabilities and potentially new hardware, even though exact specifications remain confidential.
