POCO X8s Launch Draws Closer After Securing Thai Certification

Jakarta (ANTARA) – The launch of the POCO X8s is drawing closer after the device was listed by several international certification bodies, most recently appearing in data from Thailand’s National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC).

According to a Gizmochina report on Sunday (18 October), NBTC records show that the POCO handset, model number 2609CPC5FG, has received certification and is registered under the commercial name POCO X8s.

However, the NBTC document does not include technical specifications for the smartphone.

The POCO X8s had previously appeared on several global certification platforms, including the EEC and IECEE in Europe, and IMDA in Singapore.

The phone is expected to launch globally in several markets, including the European Economic Area (EU member states plus Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein), Türkiye and Russia, but is reportedly unlikely to be released in India. In China, the device is said to carry the model number M583CF.

Earlier, results from a Geekbench test believed to be for the POCO X8s indicated that it would be equipped with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset, 12GB of RAM and Android 16.

If accurate, those details suggest the POCO X8s will target the upper mid-range smartphone segment, with a capable processor and substantial memory.

The POCO X8s is expected to feature a 50-megapixel main camera. Details of its display, battery capacity, charging speed, additional camera configuration and official price have not yet been disclosed.
