POCO Pad C1 quietly released globally, equipped with Snapdragon 6s Gen 2
POCO has quietly expanded its tablet lineup with the unveiling of the POCO Pad C1, an entry-level model powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 6s Gen 2 chip. The tablet’s global availability was confirmed after it appeared on Xiaomi’s global website. Gizmochina reports that the device is listed in two colours: Blue and Grey.
In terms of specifications, the POCO Pad C1 features a 9.7-inch IPS display (24.6 cm) with a 2K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. Design-wise, the POCO Pad C1 maintains a simple, slim metal body at 7.4 mm thick and weighing around 406 grams. While not ultra-light, it remains portable enough for daily media consumption or study.
For everyday tasks like reading PDFs, web browsing, or video streaming, the tablet should feel very comfortable. However, applications and games that require high performance will still need a more capable chipset. If the specs sound familiar, the POCO Pad C1 is basically the Redmi Pad 2 9.7 rebranded.
On the software side, the device runs HyperOS 3 out of the box, and includes features focused on ecosystem integration, such as call syncing and Circle to Search support. It also includes 4G connectivity for easier network access. On the audio front, the POCO Pad C1 uses dual speakers and retains a 3.5 mm headphone jack. Xiaomi claims up to 15 hours of video playback and around 1.7 days of normal use.
The camera configuration is modest, with an 8 MP rear sensor and a 5 MP front-facing camera, which seems adequate for an affordable pocket-friendly tablet. Regional price details have not yet been fully announced, but the Redmi-branded version launched at a relatively affordable price in several markets, so the POCO version is expected to stay in the lower price bracket.
