PNM's Sukuk Takes the Global Stage, Wins at The Asset Awards 2026 in Hong Kong
REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, HONG KONG – PNM has once again achieved global recognition through The Asset Triple A Sustainable Finance Awards 2026, held on 31 March 2026 at the Four Seasons Hong Kong. In the forum, the company received the award in the “Best Orange Bond/Sukuk – Indonesia” category for the issuance of sukuk worth Rp 3.77 trillion. This achievement demonstrates an active role in developing sustainable financing instruments directly linked to social impact, particularly for empowering women and ultra-micro entrepreneurs. This recognition extends PNM’s track record in similar events, following appreciations from the same institution in previous years. This consistency reflects the sustainability of the strategy in integrating sharia finance principles with a community-based economic development approach. Through inclusive sukuk instruments, the efforts not only expand access to financing but also strengthen the economic foundation of society at the most basic level. As of March 2026, PNM’s empowerment services reach more than 22.9 million customers across Indonesia, supported by a network spread across 36 provinces, 452 regencies/cities, and 6,165 sub-districts. This operation is supported by thousands of service offices consisting of branches, Mekaar units, and ULaMM units, enabling sustainable business mentoring. The majority of the financing portfolio is also continuously directed towards sharia-based schemes, in line with the commitment to building an inclusive and responsible financial ecosystem. Company Secretary Dodot Patria stated that this award is a reflection of the collective efforts of all personnel in delivering financing that is not only inclusive but also provides real impact for society. “Going forward, we will continue to strengthen our role as a partner in empowering underprivileged women so they can grow, become independent, and contribute to driving family and surrounding community economies,” Dodot said in a statement on Saturday (18/4/2026).
