PNM Fosters a Culture of Solidarity Through Blood Donation Initiatives

In a fast-evolving and increasingly competitive job market, many companies are racing to introduce a variety of employee engagement programmes to maintain productivity. Yet among the many internal activities developing, regular blood donation stands out as one of the programmes with the most tangible social impact.

Blood donation within PNM’s environment has become part of the company’s cultural identity. The act shows that social contributions are also growing within the work ecosystem. Blood donation brings a closer dimension of sustainability and humanity, namely helping to preserve life directly.

On the other hand, blood demand in Indonesia remains a challenge. Based on various health data, the national stock of blood bags is still in need of significant support from voluntary donors each year.

The blood donation drive is conducted with high enthusiasm from employees. From early in the day, participants take turns undergoing health checks before donating blood in accordance with medical procedures. The activity has also become a moment to strengthen solidarity among colleagues amidst daily work.

“Happy to participate because the help isn’t always about material things, but the spirit of social solidarity,” said Eka, one of the PNM employees.

Activities such as blood donation, routinely facilitated by PNM, become a symbol that humanitarian values still have a place in the busy professional world.
