PNM equips ultra-micro entrepreneurs with training and business networking
Jakarta (ANTARA) – PT Permodalan Nasional Madani (PNM), through the Mekaarpreneur Programme, provides training, mentoring and networking access to ultra-micro entrepreneurs.
This programme is not only about financing, but also about how ultra-micro entrepreneurs are supported to move up a level through a more targeted business incubation process,” said PNM Corporate Secretary Dodot Patria Ary in a written statement from Jakarta on Friday.
“The Mekaarpreneur programme includes strengthening the business mindset, product development, branding, digital marketing, and how to view market opportunities more broadly.
PNM notes that the achievements of customers in the Mekaarpreneur programme are not solely about competitions, but also demonstrate a shift in mindset in running the business.
Through the programme, customers learn to present their businesses, understand business strategy, build branding, and interact within a more professional entrepreneurial ecosystem.
For ultra-micro entrepreneurs, mentoring is seen as having broader impact. The presence of learning spaces and networking gives them the opportunity to develop their businesses more sustainably.
On the other hand, the challenges of ultra-micro entrepreneurs do not end with capital constraints. Some still face issues of business literacy, market access, financial management, and the ability to package and market products to add value.
Therefore, PNM regards the empowerment approach as important. Financing is the entry point, while training, mentoring and networking are part of efforts to sustain customers’ businesses.
One customer who has benefited from the programme is Yuliana Dewi Putri, a producer of health beverage products under the Herbal Dewi Poetri brand. After undergoing Mekaarpreneur training and incubation, Yuliana won first prize in the Bekasi-Jakarta scope.
“I was taught how to brand my product and market it digitally. My product can also collaborate with other friends. The knowledge I gained I can share with its group members,” said Yuliana.
