Jakarta — The Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) in Jakarta has established 14 health posts at strategic locations across the capital including terminals, train stations and ports to provide healthcare services to the public during the 2026 Eid holiday travel period.

PMI DKI Jakarta Provincial Chair Beky Mardani detailed that the health posts will be located at six bus terminals: Terminal Grogol, Terminal Kalideres, Terminal Tanjung Priok, Terminal Pulogebang, Terminal Lebak Bulus and Terminal Kampung Rambutan.

“Additionally, at three train stations, namely Pasar Senen Station, Gambir Station and Tanah Abang Station,” he said in Jakarta on Monday.

At port and dock areas, health posts will be established at Tanjung Priok Port, Pulau Untung Jawa Dock and Pulau Tidung Dock.

Mardani stated that the health post services will operate throughout the holiday travel period, from seven days before to seven days after Eid al-Fitr, deploying 122 personnel per shift comprising doctors, nurses and PMI volunteers who will work in rotation at each post.

Services provided include ambulance services, first aid assistance for travellers or visitors requiring medical support, and health screenings covering blood sugar, cholesterol and uric acid (GCU) tests.

“To support these health screening services, PMI has received support from medical equipment company GEA Medical in the form of 2,000 GCU screening test packages,” he said.

The contents of the “First Aid Kit” package include masks, wind relief ointment, vitamin C, wound plasters, eucalyptus oil, wet tissues, travel sickness medication and facial tissues.

Mardani expressed hope that these health posts will help provide a sense of security and comfort for the public travelling for the holiday or tourism during the Eid break.

“Whilst also ensuring that the public has rapid access to first aid assistance should any health emergency occur at crowded locations,” he said.
