Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has arrived in Indonesia for a state visit, where he is scheduled to hold a bilateral meeting with President Prabowo Subianto and visit Prambanan Temple. Prime Minister Modi was welcomed by President Prabowo Subianto at Halim Perdana Kusuma Air Force Base on Monday (6/7/2026). He is scheduled to remain in Indonesia until 8 July.

“Tomorrow, the series of state visit events for Prime Minister Modi will begin at the Merdeka Palace,” said Foreign Minister Sugiono at Halim Perdana Kusuma Air Force Base on Monday (6/7/2026).

At the palace, Modi will hold a tête-à-tête meeting with President Prabowo, followed by a bilateral meeting and a state banquet. Sugiono also stated that Modi will be in Indonesia until 8 July. At the end of his visit, the Indian Prime Minister plans to visit Prambanan Temple to inspect the results of a restoration project.

“The series of events in Indonesia will conclude on 8 July, when he will visit Prambanan Temple, as one of the agreements reached between Indonesia and India involves the restoration or renovation of Prambanan Temple,” he said.
