PM Modi praises Prabowo's 'immense attention' during Indonesia visit
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has praised the significant attention shown to him by President Prabowo Subianto during his state visit to Indonesia.
“From the moment I arrived until the moment I am about to depart Indonesia, President Prabowo has given me very great attention,” said PM Modi in a joint statement with President Prabowo at the Prambanan Temple Complex, Yogyakarta, on Wednesday.
PM Modi noted that President Prabowo dedicated much of his time to accompanying him throughout his activities in the country, adding that every agenda item was excellently prepared. The Prime Minister stated that President Prabeway’s attention to every detail of the agenda and the execution of the entire series of activities left a profound impression on him.
“President Prabowo’s attention to every detail of my agenda and its excellent execution has left me speechless,” said PM Modi.
On behalf of himself and the 1.4 billion people of India, PM Modi expressed his gratitude to President Prabowo for the welcome extended to him and the Indian delegation during their stay in Indonesia. He also expressed appreciation for the friendship, warmth, and hospitality received during the visit.
“As a friend, I wish to convey my sincere thanks, not only on my own behalf but also on behalf of the 1.4 billion people of India, for the warm welcome given to me and my delegation, and for the friendship, warmth, and affection shown to us,” said PM Modi.
PM Modi remarked that he could feel the warmth of the Indonesian people, their spirit, and the richness of Indonesia’s cultural heritage. According to PM Modi, Indonesia’s cultural heritage reminded him of India’s own heritage, which has connected the two nations for over 1,200 years.
PM Modi also extended his thanks to the Indonesian people, the government, and the managers who have preserved this cultural heritage. “I would like to thank all the people of Indonesia who have preserved this cultural heritage, as well as the entire government and the managers who have contributed to these efforts,” said PM Modi.
Furthermore, PM Modi stated that he would return to Indonesia before 2029 to attend the inauguration of the temple complex once the restoration process is complete. “Through joint efforts, we will complete this work before 2029, and together we will celebrate the completion of the restoration and the inauguration of this temple complex as a grand celebration,” said PM Modi.
PM Modi arrived in Indonesia on Monday (6/7) for a series of state visit activities. His arrival at Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base, Jakarta, was personally received by President Prabowo.
On Tuesday (7/7), PM Modi was received by President Prabowo in a state welcoming ceremony at the State Palace, followed by bilateral meetings and a luncheon. In the afternoon, accompanied by President Prabowo, PM Modi visited the DPR/MPR RI parliamentary complex in Senayan, where he was received by the leadership of the DPR, MPR, and DPD, along with other legislative members.
Later that evening, PM Modi and President Prabowo attended a meeting with the Indian community residing in Jakarta.
On Wednesday afternoon, PM Modi and Prabowo visited the Prambanan Temple complex in Yogyakarta to launch an Indonesia-India collaboration for the conservation of the Prambanan Temple. Following the event, Prabowo personally saw off PM Modi at Yogyakarta International Airport, Kulon Progo, on Wednesday afternoon.
