PM Modi praises Prabowo's 'immense attention' during Indonesia visit

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised the immense attention given to him by President Prabowo Subianto during his state visit to Indonesia. “From the moment I arrived until the time I am about to leave Indonesia, President Prabowo has given me immense attention,” PM Modi said in a joint statement with President Prabowo at the Prambanan Temple complex in Yogyakarta on Wednesday. PM Modi said President Prabowo spent a great deal of time accompanying him during activities in the country. Every agenda item of his visit was also prepared very well. PM Modi said President Prabowo’s attention to every detail of the agenda and the excellent execution of the entire series of events left a deep impression on him. “President Prabowo’s attention to every detail of my agenda and its excellent execution leaves me speechless,” PM Modi said. On behalf of himself and the 1.4 billion people of India, PM Modi thanked President Prabowo for the welcome given to him and the Indian delegation during their stay in Indonesia. PM Modi also expressed appreciation for the friendship, warmth, and hospitality he received during the visit. “As a friend, I want to express my sincere gratitude, not only on my own behalf but also on behalf of the 1.4 billion people of India, for the very warm welcome extended to me and my delegation, and for the friendship, warmth, and affection shown to us,” PM Modi said. PM Modi said he could feel the warmth of the people, the spirit, and the richness of Indonesia’s cultural heritage. According to PM Modi, Indonesia’s cultural heritage reminded him of India’s cultural heritage, which has connected the two nations for more than 1,200 years. PM Modi also thanked the people of Indonesia, the government, and the managers who have preserved the cultural heritage. “I would like to thank all the people of Indonesia who have preserved this cultural heritage, as well as all the governments and managers who have contributed to this effort,” PM Modi said. PM Modi also stated he would return to Indonesia before 2029 to attend the inauguration of the temple complex after the restoration process is complete. “Through joint efforts, we will complete this work before 2029, and together we will celebrate the completion of the restoration and the inauguration of this temple complex as a grand celebration,” PM Modi said. PM Modi arrived in Indonesia on Monday (6/7) for a series of state visit activities. His arrival at Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base in Jakarta was greeted directly by President Prabowo. On Tuesday (7/7), PM Modi was received by President Prabowo in a state welcoming ceremony at the State Palace, followed by a bilateral meeting and a luncheon. In the afternoon, accompanied by President Prabowo, he visited the parliamentary complex of the DPR/MPR RI in Senayan and was received by the leadership of the DPR, MPR, DPD, and other legislative members. That evening, PM Modi and President Prabowo attended a meeting with the Indian community in Jakarta. On Wednesday afternoon, PM Modi and President Prabowo visited the Prambanan Temple complex in Yogyakarta to launch Indonesia-India collaboration on the conservation of Prambanan Temple. Following the event, President Prabowo bade farewell to PM Modi at Yogyakarta International Airport in Kulon Progo, Yogyakarta, on Wednesday afternoon.
