PM Modi and President Prabowo to Visit Prambanan, InJourney Adjusts Operations

InJourney Destination Management (IDM) is adjusting operational services at the Prambanan Temple Tourism Park to support the state visit of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto. Tourist access will remain open to the Sewu, Lumbung, and Bubrah temples as well as the Siwa Field on 7 and 8 July 2026, according to IDM Commercial Director Gistang Panutur in Yogyakarta on Tuesday. He stated that entry would be via the Sewu Temple gate in Klaten, Central Java, and that tickets purchased online for those dates would remain valid, with adjustments to the visitable areas and additional facilities provided as added value for visitors. On-site ticket purchases will only be available until 3pm WIB. The company stressed that the operational adjustments do not diminish its commitment to delivering a memorable heritage experience, and that visitors can still explore the cultural and historical richness of the area with security and comfort as priorities. IDM also assured that exploring the Sewu, Bubrah, and Lumbung temples would remain exciting and meaningful, with tourists able to enjoy the historical and cultural value amidst the lush green landscape characteristic of the destination. The operational changes represent IDM’s support for a state agenda of strategic importance to Indonesia-India bilateral relations, with the management fully backing the event through planned adjustments to ensure the proceedings are safe, comfortable, and impressive.
