PM Lee to visit Susilo Monday

JAKARTA: Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong is scheduled to begin his two-day working visit to Indonesia on Monday, when he will hold bilateral talks with President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono.

Indonesian foreign ministry spokesman Marty Natalegawa said on Thursday there was no formal agenda for the meeting, but there would be numerous outstanding issues the two countries would address during Lee's visit.

"It is a matter of fact that there are a number of outstanding issues we need to address, such as maritime border demarcation, extradition treaties, along with trade and security in Malacca Straits," Marty said.

After meeting Susilo, Lee is to meet other high-ranking Indonesian officials on Tuesday.

Lee was among regional leaders who attended Susilo's inauguration as president on Oct. 20. --JP
