PM Klaus ends Malaysian visit

KUALA LUMPUR (AFP): Czech Prime Minister Vaclav Klaus wound up
his three-day visit to Malaysia yesterday, during which he
witnessed the signing of a bilateral investment guarantee pact to
boost economic ties.

The Czech Republic was the 50th country to have signed the
investment pact with Malaysia, officials said. Klaus was here as
part of a three nation Asian tour that will take next him to
Singapore. He visited Japan before his arrival in Kuala Lumpur.

Klaus urged businesses to seek joint ventures in Czech
infrastructure projects, as well as in its truck, car and steel
industries. Other areas of cooperation identified include
tourism, banking and manufacturing.
