Plywood Factory in Semarang Destroyed by Fire Triggered by Press Machine Explosion
A fire broke out at a plywood processing factory in Tegalrejo Village, Tengaran District, Semarang Regency, Central Java, in the early hours of Sunday (2/8). The fire was suspected to have been triggered by an explosion in a press machine, resulting in losses estimated at Rp1 billion.
On Sunday (2/8), several fire engines were deployed to spray water across multiple points at the site to facilitate the cooling process. The fire occurred at approximately 01:20 WIB and is believed to have been caused by a press machine explosion, which led to the destruction of at least 300 square metres of the factory area.
