PLN's new headquarters
JAKARTA (JP): Minister of Mines and Energy I.B. Sudjana yesterday inaugurated the new headquarters of the state electricity company PT PLN, also marking the observance of National Electricity Day.
PLN's president Zuhal said at yesterday's inaugural ceremony that the construction of the new 15-story headquarters, which is near its old office on Jl. Trunojoyo in South Jakarta, cost Rp 5.76 billion (US$2.64 million).
Investments for the construction were raised through the company's equity and pension fund, he said.
"Equipped with a fully computerized system, PLN plans to monitor all its activities, including payments of electricity subscription and power project construction, from the new office," Zuhal said. (fhp)
