PLN Updates Power Disruption on KRL Green Line, Trips Cancelled
Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - PLN has confirmed that the power supply to the stations and train tracks at Jurang Mangu KRL Station and Pondok Ranji is safe and normal.
“Following reports of the train disruption, PLN personnel have coordinated with KAI and are on standby to assist in accelerating recovery,” said the Manager of PLN UP3 Bintaro in a statement on Monday evening (4/5/2026).
“PLN urges the public to remain cautious during activities amid extreme weather. If there are any complaints or potential electrical hazards, the public can immediately report them via the PLN Mobile app or PLN Contact Centre 123,” he added.
As reported, KAI Commuter announced operational issues on the Rangkasbitung Commuter Line on Monday afternoon (4/5/2026). The operational issue stemmed from sparks on an Overhead Catenary System (OCS) power pole. This resulted in the shutdown of the OCS network, causing Commuter Line trips on the Pondok Ranji - Sudimara route to be temporarily suspended starting at 16:30 WIB.
“At 16:30, there was a disruption to the OCS infrastructure between Jurangmangu and Pondok Ranji stations; it is currently being handled by personnel. We apologise for the disruption,” said Vice President Corporate Secretary of PT Kereta Commuter Indonesia, Karina Amanda, to CNBC Indonesia.
