PLN UID Sulselrabar provides aid to 20 orphans in Makassar

Makassar (ANTARA) - PT PLN (Persero) Unit Induk Distribusi Sulawesi Selatan, Sulawesi Tenggara dan Sulawesi Barat (UID Sulselrabar) has provided aid to 20 orphans in Makassar, specifically at the Panti Asuhan Al-Muallaf. Through its social care programme, the Yayasan Baitul Maal (YBM) of PT PLN (Persero) UID Sulselrabar distributed assistance in the form of food items and basic necessities, which are expected to help meet the daily needs of the orphanage children. “We are optimistic that the aid provided will be beneficial and serve as a form of support for the children to continue studying enthusiastically and achieving their aspirations,” said General Manager of PLN UID Sulselrabar, Edyansyah, in a statement in Makassar on Wednesday. This activity aligns with PLN’s spirit of delivering energy that not only illuminates lives through electricity but also through care and togetherness with the community. Edyansyah stated that such social activities are part of PLN’s social responsibility to continue sharing and providing positive impacts for the surrounding community. For him, PLN UID Sulselrabar hopes that the spirit of sharing and mutual cooperation will continue to grow to bring goodness to others. “PLN wants to continue to be present to bring benefits to the community through various social care actions,” he said. The aid was handed over directly by Edyansyah, who visited the Panti Asuhan Al-Muallaf as a form of care and fostering relations with the orphanage children. This activity is a tangible manifestation of PLN’s commitment to be present not only through electricity services but also through social actions that provide direct benefits to the community. The manager of Panti Asuhan Al-Muallaf, Marlanita, expressed gratitude and appreciation for the attention given by PLN UID Sulselrabar. “We are very grateful for the care provided. This aid is very meaningful for the needs of the children in the orphanage. The presence of PLN also brings spirit and a special joy to them,” she said. In addition to the handover of aid, the activity was filled with warm interactions with the orphanage children in a familial and cheerful atmosphere.
