Jakarta (ANTARA) - PLN UID Greater Jakarta is committed to strengthening information openness to customers by promoting the digitalisation of services through the PLN Mobile application.

This commitment was conveyed by General Manager of PLN UID Greater Jakarta, Moch Andy Adchaminoerdin, during the PLN UID Greater Jakarta Public Relations Forum held in the Gambir area, Central Jakarta.

“Currently, we are continuously promoting the digitalisation of information services through the PLN Mobile application, so that the public can easily access electricity information, submit complaints, and monitor service status quickly and transparently,” said Andy in Jakarta on Thursday.

Thus, they aim to ensure that every customer not only receives reliable electricity but also clear, easily accessible, and trustworthy information.

On the other hand, Chairman of the DKI Jakarta Information Commission, Harry Ara Hutabarat, appreciated PLN’s initiative in strengthening information openness through the public relations forum.

“The main key to PPID lies in two things, namely the List of Public Information (DIP) and the List of Excluded Information (DIK). These must be compiled seriously and consulted internally,” said Harry.

He also highlighted the importance of synergy between public relations functions and PPID in providing information services to the public.

In his presentation, Harry also reminded public bodies, including state-owned enterprises, of their obligation to provide information as regulated in Article 14 of the UU KIP, such as institutional profiles, programme activities, financial reports, and public information service reports.

He also emphasised that the implementation of information openness not only has administrative impacts but also legal consequences.

“The UU KIP not only regulates administrative aspects but also has criminal implications if not carried out properly,” stressed Harry.

Furthermore, Harry affirmed that the main goal of information openness is to encourage healthy public participation.

“The purpose of the UU KIP is to invite public participation, not to open space for other irresponsible interests,” concluded Harry.
