PLN Sulselrabar Launches Ramadhan Bright, Eid Peaceful Programme
Makassar — PT PLN (Persero) Unit Induk Distribusi Sulawesi Selatan, Sulawesi Tenggara dan Sulawesi Barat (UID Sulselrabar) is providing a discount on additional electricity capacity during the blessed month of Ramadhan 1447 Hijriah through the Ramadhan Terang Lebaran Tenang (Ramadhan Bright, Eid Peaceful) Programme.
PLN is offering a 50 per cent discount on connection fees for additional capacity for single-phase customers with initial capacity of 450 Volt Ampere (VA) to 5,500 VA for capacity additions up to 7,700 VA.
“Customers can enjoy this programme from 25 February to 10 March 2026 through the PLN Mobile application,” said General Manager of PLN UID Sulselrabar Edyansyah in Makassar, South Sulawesi, on Sunday.
He stated that the programme represents PLN’s commitment to providing electrical services that support public comfort in carrying out worship during Ramadhan until Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah.
The programme provides an opportunity for customers who wish to optimise their electricity usage through capacity additions at affordable costs.
To date, 659 customers in the PLN UID Sulselrabar service area have benefited from this programme.
“During Ramadhan, the public’s electricity demand tends to increase as household activities increase. Through this programme, PLN provides the convenience of additional capacity with lighter costs so that the public can carry out activities, particularly during Ramadhan and Eid without being hindered by power limitations,” Edyansyah said.
Edyansyah explained that customers who wish to benefit from the additional capacity discount simply need to purchase a token or pay their electricity bill through the PLN Mobile application.
Subsequently, customers will receive an e-voucher for additional capacity that can be redeemed through the promotional feature on the application.
After obtaining the e-voucher, customers can directly request additional capacity through PLN Mobile by entering the voucher code.
“The subsequent connection process will be carried out by PLN officers in accordance with the applicable Service Quality Standards,” added Edyansyah.
As an example, a household customer with initial capacity of 450 VA who wishes to increase capacity to 7,700 VA is typically charged a connection fee of Rp7,025,250.
Through this programme, customers receive a 50 per cent discount on the fee, so the amount paid is only Rp3,512,625.
“We hope customers can take advantage of the convenience of PLN Mobile’s digital services to ensure adequate electricity capacity at home, so that worship activities and family togetherness during Ramadhan can take place more comfortably without electricity constraints,” said Edyansyah.
