PLN Successfully Powers Jakarta Fair 2026, Transactions Reach Rp8.2 Trillion
State-owned electricity company PT PLN (Persero) through its Greater Jakarta Distribution Unit (UID) successfully maintained a reliable power supply throughout the Jakarta Fair Kemayoran 2026. The annual event attracted 6.1 million visitors with total transactions reaching Rp8.2 trillion. Over the 32-day event, from 11 June to 12 July 2026, all exhibitions and entertainment ran smoothly. A dependable electricity supply was considered a crucial factor in supporting Jakarta’s economic activity. The high level of public enthusiasm provided a direct positive impact for business players. SMEs, the creative industry, and the trade sector capitalised on this momentum for promotion and to boost sales. Uninterrupted electricity was evident in the operation of thousands of exhibition stands, music concerts, and entertainment attractions. The closing fireworks display also proceeded without any significant electrical disruptions. General Manager of PLN UID Greater Jakarta, Moch. Andy Adchaminoerdin, stated that public comfort and business optimisation were achieved thanks to the maintained electricity supply. This delivered tangible benefits to millions of visitors and business players. To ensure reliability, PLN’s Customer Service Unit (UP3) Bandengan deployed dozens of combined personnel. The electrical system was monitored 24 hours a day. PLN UID Greater Jakarta also prepared backup infrastructure at the event site, including a Mobile Substation Unit (UGB) with a capacity of 1,000 kVA and an Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) with a capacity of 800 kVA. Andy added that the high number of visitors and transaction value demonstrated the Jakarta Fair’s significant contribution to the economy. The company affirmed its readiness to support strategic agendas in the capital through reliable electricity supply, ensuring that community activities, local product promotions, and the entertainment and tourism sectors can run smoothly and provide broader benefits.
