REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, SEMARANG – Ahead of Eid al-Fitr 1447 H, PLN is ensuring the readiness of the electricity system at vital sites. Independent Commissioner of PLN Ali Masykur Musa visited the Great Mosque of Baiturrahman in Central Java.

During the visit, the PLN Commissioner was accompanied by the Director of Distribution of PLN, as well as the GM of PLN UID Central Java, and was directly welcomed by the Chairman of the Takmir Division of the Great Mosque of Baiturrahman Dr. H. Multazam Ahmad, MA, and Deputy Chairman Dr. KH. Anashom, M.Hum.

“Sufficient power supply, even excess, must be prepared for Takbiran night because this is the peak of the victory of the Muslim ummah after a month of fasting, and this is the time for us to soar and we will win,” said Independent Commissioner of PLN Ali Masykur Musa during the visit on Thursday, 19 March 2026.

PLN is committed to providing reliable electricity supply to support public comfort in performing worship and celebrating Eid al-Fitr. To that end, PLN is strengthening infrastructure, particularly the readiness of electric vehicle infrastructure on strategic routes that serve as the main travel paths for the public during the 2026 Lebaran holiday.

PLN, together with partners, has provided 4,769 units of public electric vehicle charging stations (SPKLU) spread across 3,078 locations throughout Indonesia. This infrastructure consists of various types of charging, from ultra fast charging, fast charging, medium charging to standard charging, tailored to the needs of electric vehicle users.

To support the 2026 Lebaran mudik period, PLN has also prepared 1,681 SPKLU units at 994 locations spread across mudik routes in Sumatra, Java to Bali. All these facilities are supported by more than 5,000 standby personnel who are on duty 24 hours in three shifts to ensure optimal service to electric vehicle users.

“PLN continues to strengthen the readiness of electric vehicle infrastructure, especially on strategic routes that serve as the main travel paths for the public during the long holiday. This aligns with PLN’s commitment to supporting the acceleration of the electric vehicle ecosystem in Indonesia,” said Ali Masykur Musa.

The steps taken by PLN also affirm its role as the backbone of national energy in supporting public mobility during Lebaran. The readiness of electricity and electric vehicle infrastructure is an important part in ensuring the smooth flow of mudik while encouraging the clean energy transition in Indonesia.
