PLN regains control of strategic land in Cengkareng worth Rp380 billion
Jakarta (ANTARA) - PT PLN (Persero) has regained control of a strategic plot of land in Cengkareng, West Jakarta, valued at more than Rp380 billion, which had been illegally occupied by other parties for decades.
“This asset has existed since 1980, but it has been controlled by other parties in the meantime. Alhamdulillah, with good synergy, we have been able to save this asset,” said General Manager of PLN UIP West Java, Yasir, during the handover of the asset certificate in the Gandaria area, Kebayoran Lama, Jakarta, on Thursday.
The recovered asset consists of a plot of land measuring nearly 20,000 square metres (m²) located on Jalan Daan Mogot, Cengkareng. The land was known to have been freed by PLN since 1980.
However, over time, the asset was seized by other parties without rights and exploited illegally for years.
After intensive coordination and legal assistance, the asset was finally secured. An official certificate for the land has been issued by the National Land Agency.
Meanwhile, the Head of the West Jakarta District Prosecutor’s Office, Nurul Wahida Rifal, emphasised that legal assistance is an important part of resolving state asset disputes.
“PT PLN officially requested legal assistance from us. We then followed it up until the trial process, and alhamdulillah, we won the case,” said Nurul.
Nurul views this moment as a form of saving state assets, and her office is committed to assisting state-owned enterprises and local governments in resolving legal issues in the fields of civil and state administrative law.
The recovery of this asset is expected to strengthen synergy among government agencies and provide legal certainty for the management of state assets, so that they can be utilised optimally for the public interest.
