PLN Offers 50% Discount on Power Upgrades Until 27 July 2026

PLN has launched a promotional programme offering a 50% discount on the cost of adding electrical power capacity, valid from 14 to 27 July 2026. The ‘Semangat Baru Makin Berdaya’ programme is open to single-phase low-voltage customers across all tariff groups.

Eligible customers must have an initial power capacity between 450 VA and 5,500 VA and can upgrade to a maximum of 7,700 VA. To qualify, customers must have been registered before 1 July 2026 and have fully paid all electricity bills and other obligations.

To obtain the discount, customers must make at least one token purchase or bill payment through the PLN Mobile application to receive an e-voucher. Each account can receive a maximum of four e-vouchers, but the promotion can only be used once per customer ID during the programme period. The connection fee must be paid in full upfront, though post-paid customers may pay the Subscription Security Deposit in up to 12 instalments.

PLN provided a simulation of discounted costs. For example, upgrading from 450 VA to 900 VA costs Rp210,825, down from the normal Rp421,650. An upgrade from 450 VA to 7,700 VA costs Rp3,512,625 after the discount. The promotion does not apply to changes in phase, tariff, or service type, and customers who take advantage of the offer cannot request a power reduction for at least one year after the upgrade is completed. Applications must be submitted before the promotion ends on 27 July 2026.
