PLN Offers 50% Discount on Power Capacity Upgrades Until 27 July 2026

Jakarta - PT PLN (Persero) is again offering a 50% discount on power capacity upgrades through its ‘Semangat Baru Makin Berdaya’ programme. The promotion runs from 14 July to 27 July 2026, aiming to support the public’s electricity needs while marking National Children’s Day and the new school year.

PLN Director of Retail and Commerce, M. Fahrur Rozy, stated that the programme is intended for single-phase low-voltage customers across all tariff groups with an initial power capacity ranging from 450 VA to 5,500 VA, who wish to increase their capacity up to a maximum of 7,700 VA. He noted that the programme provides an opportunity for customers to optimise their electricity usage with an affordable upgrade cost.

For example, a customer with an initial capacity of 1,300 VA wishing to upgrade to 7,700 VA would only need to pay Rp3,100,800, a 50% saving compared to the normal upgrade fee of Rp6,201,600.

To enjoy the promotion, customers must make at least one token purchase for prepaid users or bill payment for postpaid users via the PLN Mobile application during the promotional period. Once the transaction is successful, an e-voucher for the discount will be received through the ‘Reward’ feature in PLN Mobile or sent to the registered email address. The voucher code can then be used when applying for the power upgrade through the application. After payment verification, the local PLN unit will process the application in accordance with applicable regulations.

Rozy added that the entire discount application process is conducted digitally through PLN Mobile, making it practical, fast, and accessible to the public anywhere. Each PLN Mobile account can obtain a maximum of four e-vouchers during the programme, with each customer ID eligible to participate once. The programme applies to customers registered before 1 July 2026 who have settled all electricity bills and other obligations. Rozy encouraged all customers to make the most of this limited-time 50% power upgrade discount.
