PLN Offers 50% Discount on Power Capacity Upgrades Until 27 July 2026

PT PLN (Persero) is providing a 50% discount on power capacity upgrades through the ‘Semangat Baru Makin Berdaya’ programme. The programme, running from 14 to 27 July 2026, aims to support household electricity needs at the start of the new school year while enhancing service convenience for customers.

PLN’s Director of Retail and Commerce, Fahrur Rozy, stated that the programme applies to single-phase low-voltage customers across all tariff groups with an initial capacity ranging from 450 VA to 5,500 VA, who wish to increase their capacity to a maximum of 7,700 VA. ‘Through the Semangat Baru Makin Berdaya programme, PLN wants to make it easier for the public to obtain power capacity upgrades at a lighter cost to support children’s learning activities and various productive activities at home,’ Rozy said in a statement on Friday (17/7/2026).

Under the programme, customers can save up to 50% on upgrade fees. For example, a customer with an initial capacity of 1,300 VA upgrading to 7,700 VA would only need to pay Rp 3,100,800, compared to the normal fee of Rp 6,201,600. Rozy explained that customers can obtain the promotion by making at least one token purchase for prepaid customers or one bill payment for postpaid customers via the PLN Mobile application during the programme period. After a successful transaction, customers will receive an e-voucher through the Rewards feature in the PLN Mobile app or via registered email. The voucher code is then used when applying for a power capacity upgrade through the PLN Mobile application.
