PLN Offers 50% Discount on Electricity Power Upgrades Until 27 July
State electricity company PLN is again offering a 50% discount on power upgrade fees. The promotion runs from 14 July to 27 July 2026, intended to support community electricity needs while welcoming National Children’s Day and the new school year.
PLN Director of Retail and Commerce, M. Fahrur Rozy, stated the programme targets low-voltage single-phase customers across all tariff groups with existing power ratings from 450 volt-ampere (VA) to 5,500 VA who wish to increase their capacity to a maximum of 7,700 VA.
Through this programme, PLN provides an opportunity for customers to optimise their electricity usage with an affordable power upgrade. “Through the ‘Semangat Baru Makin Berdaya’ programme, PLN wants to make it easier for the public to obtain power upgrade services at a lighter cost, to support children’s learning activities and various productive activities at home,” Rozy said in a written statement on Thursday.
As an illustration, a customer with an initial power rating of 1,300 VA wishing to upgrade to 7,700 VA only needs to pay Rp3,100,800. This represents a 50% saving compared to the normal upgrade fee of Rp6,201,600.
Rozy explained that to enjoy this promotion, customers simply need to make at least one token purchase for prepaid customers or one bill payment for postpaid customers through the PLN Mobile application during the promotional period. After a successful transaction, an e-voucher for the power upgrade discount will be received via the “Reward” feature in PLN Mobile or sent to the registered email address.
The e-voucher code can then be used when applying for a power upgrade through the PLN Mobile application. Once payment is verified, the local PLN unit will immediately process the application in accordance with applicable regulations.
“The entire application process for this power upgrade discount is carried out digitally via PLN Mobile, making it more practical, fast, and easily accessible to the public anywhere,” Rozy said.
He added that for this power upgrade discount programme, each PLN Mobile account can obtain a maximum of four e-vouchers during the promotional period, with one customer ID eligible to participate once. The programme applies to customers registered before 1 July 2026 who have settled all electricity bills and other obligations. He also invited all customers to make the most of this limited-time 50% power upgrade discount.
