We continue to develop electric vehicle infrastructure as a concrete step towards clean and sustainable energy.

Medan (ANTARA) - PLN (Persero) Unit Induk Distribusi (UID) Sumatera Utara is providing Stasiun Pengisian Kendaraan Listrik Umum (SPKLU) in the region to meet the needs of the public using electric vehicles during the 2026 Lebaran holiday.

“We ensure that all SPKLU are ready to operate to support the public’s mudik travel, especially for electric vehicle users,” said General Manager of PLN UID Sumatera Utara, Mundhakir, in Medan on Saturday.

Mundhakir stated that the presence of these SPKLU is to provide convenience, comfort, and peace of mind during travel, particularly for drivers using electric vehicles.

Furthermore, SPKLU points on the Berastagi tourist route in Karo Regency include the PLN ULP Berastagi Office, Hilpark Sibolangit, UPDL Tuntungan, and Hotel Sibayak.

Additionally, there are SPKLU on toll roads, including the SPKLU at Rest Area KM 65 A on the Medan – Tebing Tinggi Toll Road, as well as the SPKLU in the Kualanamu Airport area.

“We continue to develop electric vehicle infrastructure as a concrete step towards clean and sustainable energy,” he said.

PLN urges the public to utilise the PLN Mobile application to find the nearest SPKLU location and monitor service availability in real time.
