PT PLN (Persero) has collaborated with PT Mega Energi Biru Indonesia (MEBI) and Huawei Digital Power Indonesia to inaugurate the Zora SPKLU Signature at Scientia, Summarecon Gading Serpong, South Tangerang, on Saturday, 14 February 2026. The partnership represents one of several efforts to accelerate the expansion of electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure.

"This collaboration demonstrates that by joining hands, the direction of electric vehicle transformation in supporting decarbonisation in the transport sector is not impossible to realise," said PLN President Director Darmawan Prasodjo, represented by PLN Director of Transmission and System Planning Edwin Nugraha Putra.

With a capacity of up to 480 kilowatts (kW), the infrastructure is Indonesia's first Ultra Fast Charging unit equipped with intelligent Split Charging features and Liquid Cooling System technology. The cutting-edge Huawei Fusion Charge technology enables the ZORA Signature charging station to distribute energy flexibly from both the main power grid and clean energy sources integrated through a Battery Energy Storage System, capable of operating optimally in all weather conditions.

"Besides being low-emission, the use of electric vehicles is also important in reducing the consumption of fuel, which has largely been obtained through imports," said Edwin.

The presence of this charging station also strengthens the national charging infrastructure network, which continues to grow. As of December 2025, PLN and its partners have operated 4,655 public EV charging units across Indonesia. The operation of this facility is a tangible manifestation of the stakeholders' commitment to supporting the Government in providing reliability and convenience for EV users nationwide.

Edwin affirmed that strategic collaboration with various partners would continue to be accelerated to ensure the availability of charging infrastructure commensurate with the massive growth of EV users in the country.

As the most advanced charging facility in Indonesia, the infrastructure comprises 12 DC Ultra Fast Charging connectors and 1 AC Medium Charging connector, designed to serve high-traffic locations with fast turnaround times. The technological advantage is reflected in highly efficient battery charging durations. For instance, to achieve a State of Charge (SoC) from 10 per cent to 80 per cent, medium charging requires only 50 minutes, whilst ultra fast charging takes just 20 minutes.

Equipped with a comfortable waiting area, the facility marks the transformation of charging services from mere charging points into a destination charging and lifestyle hub to enhance the customer experience.

"The presence of this Zora Signature charging station is a manifestation of PLN's customer-oriented service transformation. We are not merely providing a charging point but creating a new lifestyle ecosystem for EV users. With ultra-fast charging technology and AI integration, we want to ensure that the transition to green mobility becomes an enjoyable, intelligent and seamless experience," said Edwin.

This convenience is further complemented by digital service support through the Electric Vehicle Digital Services (EVDS) feature on the PLN Mobile application. The Trip Planner feature allows users to plan travel routes based on charging station locations, whilst the AntreEV feature helps manage queues in an orderly and transparent manner.

Meanwhile, MEBI President Commissioner Rahayu Saraswati Djojohadikusumo affirmed the company's commitment to continuing its partnership with PLN in accelerating charging infrastructure development. "We are not only inaugurating a charging station but also setting the direction that Indonesia is ready to move faster, that innovation is our commitment, and that the future of green mobility starts here, from this very point," said Rahayu.

From the technology provider's perspective, Huawei Digital Power Indonesia CEO Jin Song expressed high appreciation to the PLN and MEBI management teams for the successful operation of this high-standard infrastructure. He regarded this achievement as an impressive step in delivering an intelligent and efficient AI-based charging system for customers.

"I also wish to express my deepest appreciation to the PLN team under the leadership of the management. I still remember our first discussion around July last year. Now, in approximately six months, we can already see these extraordinary tangible results. This is truly an impressive achievement," said Jin Song.
