PLN Lampung Urges Staff to Actively Maintain Ecosystem Balance
The General Manager of PLN UID Lampung, Rizky Mochamad, has invited all employees and staff to play an active role in maintaining ecosystem balance and creating a greener environment for future generations.
In a statement received in Bandarlampung on Sunday, he noted that the commemoration of World Environment Day serves as a vital momentum for all PLN personnel to strengthen their commitment to implementing Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles sustainably.
He stated that environmental preservation is a shared responsibility. Through tree-planting activities conducted by PLN in honour of World Environment Day, it is hoped that significant benefits can be provided for the future sustainability of the Earth.
“This tree-planting action is also in line with the theme for World Environment Day 2026, ‘#NowForClimate’, which invites all elements of society to take real action in facing the challenges of climate change,” he said.
He added that, in addition to supporting environmental conservation, this activity serves as an educational tool for employees regarding the importance of responsible natural resource management and the implementation of eco-friendly lifestyles in daily activities.
“We remain committed to running various sustainability programmes that focus on environmental protection, carbon emission reduction, clean energy development, and community empowerment,” said Rizky.
Through these various initiatives, PLN hopes to make a tangible contribution to realising a greener, more resilient, and sustainable future.
“The tree-planting activity for World Environment Day is one form of PLN’s commitment to supporting the sustainable development agenda, specifically SDG 13 (Climate Action) and SDG 15 (Life on Land), while simultaneously strengthening the company’s role in preserving the environment,” Rizky concluded.
