Bandarlampung (ANTARA) - PT PLN Unit Induk Distribusi (UID) Lampung stated that all operational vehicles in its area are now electric-powered (Electric Vehicle/EV) to support the acceleration of the clean energy transition.

“In an effort to support the clean energy transition, 100 percent of our operational vehicles, totaling 51 units, have been converted to electric,” said General Manager of PLN UID Lampung, Rizky Mochamad, in Bandarlampung, Sunday.

He said that these electric operational vehicles have been used to support field staff activities both in urban and rural areas.

“The use of EVs is not only carried out in urban areas but also reaches areas with quite challenging terrain,” he said.

“This step is part of the company’s commitment to supporting the clean energy transition. This transformation shows that electric vehicles are not only environmentally friendly but also able to support reliable work mobility in various field conditions,” he added.

He said that through the transformation of electric-powered operational vehicles, PLN UID Lampung continues to strengthen its commitment to providing a more efficient and adaptive operational system.

“This step is expected to optimize energy use while increasing productivity in supporting service to customers,” he said.

“While using electric vehicles, we find that operations have become more practical. The sound is smooth, the maintenance is also simpler, and most importantly, it remains powerful when used in various conditions,” he said.
