PLN Jakarta Marks City’s Anniversary with 50% Discount on Power Upgrades

State-owned electricity company PLN’s Greater Jakarta Distribution Unit (UID) has launched a promotion offering a 50 per cent discount on power capacity upgrades for household customers, as part of celebrations for Jakarta’s 499th anniversary. The promotion runs from 10 to 23 June 2026 for low-voltage customers on single-phase tariffs, starting from 450 VA and upgrading to up to 7,700 VA, within PLN UID Jakarta Raya’s service area. Andy explained that customers can obtain the 50 per cent discount by purchasing electricity tokens or paying bills through the PLN Mobile app and entering the promo code HUTDKI499. He noted that increasingly modern lifestyles are driving greater demand for reliable and adequate electricity, prompting PLN to offer easily accessible services through its digital platform. However, Andy stressed that customers with arrears must settle them before utilising the promotion. “When taking up this programme, outstanding bills must be cleared first. And this promo is specifically for those who were already PLN UID Jakarta Raya customers as of May,” he said.
