PLN Indonesia Power (PLN IP) has unveiled a series of Ramadan 1447 H activities that combine strengthening the reliability of the national electricity system with social responsibility initiatives for the community.

Through Electrical Readiness Inspections and Ramadan Outreach Safaris, along with activities supporting orphans and the underprivileged, the company has reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining reliable electricity supply whilst distributing benefits throughout the sacred month of Ramadan.

To ensure the electrical system is prepared for the Ramadan period through Eid al-Fitr, PLN Indonesia Power management conducted Electrical Readiness Inspections and Ramadan Outreach Safaris, including one at the Generation Business Unit (UBP) in Pangkalan Susu, North Sumatra, under the theme “Absorbing Aspirations, Strengthening Collaboration, Accelerating Transformation.”

The visit was attended by PLN IP President Director Bernadus Sudarmanta, Board Chairman and Independent Commissioner Arief Budiman, Independent Commissioner Anthony Leong, senior leaders from head office, and local unit management.

During the activities, management conducted direct inspections of the generation facilities to ensure equipment readiness, spare parts availability, monitoring system optimisation, and personnel preparedness during the alert period. This step represents part of the company’s preventive efforts to maintain reliable electricity supply for the community, particularly in the North Sumatra region.

PLN Indonesia Power President Director Bernadus Sudarmanta expressed appreciation for the improved performance of Pangkalan Susu UBP throughout 2025, which has demonstrated positive trends in both reliability and operational performance. He also provided direct support to operators responsible for maintaining generation unit reliability.

“This positive performance reflects the strength and collaboration of our team. We ensure that all equipment and personnel are ready to maintain electricity supply reliability, particularly during the Ramadan to Eid period,” Bernadus stated in a written statement on Sunday, 1 March 2026.

Meanwhile, Board Chairman and Independent Commissioner Arief Budiman emphasised the importance of two-way communication as the foundation of corporate transformation.

“Transformation is not only about technology and performance achievements, but also about openness in conveying aspirations. Strong collaboration emerges from honest and constructive communication,” Arief stated.

Beyond operational aspects, the Ramadan Outreach Safari at Pangkalan Susu UBP also featured social responsibility activities. Through the PLN Indonesia Power Cares programme, the company distributed aid to orphans and the underprivileged in the surrounding operational area. Assistance was handed over symbolically by management as a manifestation of the company’s commitment to growing together with the community and bringing benefits during the sacred month.

In related Ramadan activities, PLN Indonesia Power’s Maintenance Business Unit (UBH) distributed aid to orphans and underprivileged children from the Orphan and Underprivileged Boarding House in the Petamburan area, Jakarta. The activity was held alongside Ramadan religious discourse and a staff iftar meal. Aid comprising cash and food parcels was handed over symbolically by UBH General Manager Rahmat Syahputra Lubis to 10 orphaned and underprivileged children. The programme was implemented through collaboration with LAZ Nurul Falah to ensure assistance reached the intended beneficiaries in a transparent and trustworthy manner.

In his remarks, UBH General Manager Rahmat Syahputra Lubis stated that this sharing activity represents the company’s commitment to continuing to provide benefits to the surrounding community.

“Ramadan is an opportunity to strengthen care and the spirit of sharing. We hope this assistance not only provides material benefits but also brings happiness and encouragement to our younger brothers and sisters in pursuing their aspirations,” he said.

Through these electrical readiness and Ramadan social action activities for 1447 H, PLN Indonesia Power has reiterated its commitment to maintaining the reliability of the national electricity supply whilst actively contributing to community welfare. This commitment aligns with the company’s values in delivering outstanding performance that has tangible impact for the nation.
