Jakarta (ANTARA) - The President Director of PT PLN Indonesia Power, Bernadus Sudarmanta, stated that cross-border collaboration is key to accelerating the energy transition in Southeast Asia.

“We are committed to being part of the energy transition solution through the development of clean technologies, including hydrogen in the region,” he said in his statement in Jakarta on Tuesday.

According to him, collaboration with international partners in Southeast Asia, such as Vietnam Electricity (EVN), is an important step to accelerate the adoption of innovations, enhance capabilities, and strengthen Indonesia’s role in the global sustainable energy ecosystem.

On Thursday (2/4/2026), PLN IP through the Hydrogen Center Senayan received a visit from the EVN delegation as part of benchmarking activities under the Exchange and Learning Programme between EVN-PLN Indonesia and Its Subsidiaries with the theme “Enhancing the Efficiency of Thermal Power Plants”.

Bernadus added that this visit is a strategic momentum to strengthen regional collaboration, especially in the development of energy innovations and improving the efficiency of power plants in Southeast Asia.

“This activity reaffirms PLN Indonesia Power’s commitment to strengthening global synergies, driving technological innovation, and improving power plant efficiency to support a reliable, efficient, and sustainable electricity system,” he explained.

The EVN delegation present included Deputy Director of Phu My Thermal Power Company EVNGENCO3 Le Vu Trung and Deputy Director of Operation Services Center EVNGENCO3 Nguyen Xuan Hai.
