PLN Indonesia Power's electricity sales surpass 2025 RKAP target
The electricity sales of PT PLN (Persero)’s generation subholding, PT PLN Indonesia Power (PLN IP), surpassed its 2025 work plan and budget (RKAP) target. PLN Indonesia Power President Director Bernadus Sudarmanta stated in Jakarta on Tuesday that the company continues to contribute to strengthening PLN’s performance through reliable plant operations, clean energy development, and sustainable business transformation. “Throughout 2025, electricity sales reached 82.17 TWh, or 109 percent of the 2025 RKAP target,” he said. Meanwhile, the equivalent availability factor (EAF) for non-coal-fired power plants reached 93.18 percent, exceeding the RKAP target of 90.52 percent. PLN IP also added 2,060 MW of new generation capacity, commissioned three new power plant units during 2025, and recorded beyond-kWh business performance at 156 percent of the RKAP target, supported by growth in operation and maintenance (O&M) services and electrical MRO. Furthermore, its commitment to sustainability was demonstrated through the achievement of 54 Proper ratings, comprising 7 Gold, 22 Green, and 25 Blue, along with various national and international awards. “All these achievements reinforce PLN Indonesia Power’s contribution to PLN’s overall performance while serving as a foundation for the company to continue strengthening its role as a generation subholding in supporting national energy security,” Bernadus said. PLN Vice President Director Yusuf Didi Setiarto stated that PLN IP has a strategic role in supporting the achievement of the company’s targets. “PLN Indonesia Power must ensure that every established programme is executed in a disciplined, measurable, and timely manner,” he said. He expressed confidence that with strong commitment, synergy among all company personnel, and a focus on operational excellence and the transformation agenda, the RKAP targets and strategic programmes in the Electricity Supply Business Plan (RUPTL) can be achieved optimally, thereby providing added value for the company, shareholders, and the public. Meanwhile, PLN Indonesia Power President Commissioner Arief Budiman said the board of commissioners will continue to oversee the implementation of the company’s strategy so that every transformation programme runs in a measurable and accountable manner and provides optimal benefits for the company and stakeholders. “The performance achieved is an important asset for PLN Indonesia Power to continue growing. The Board of Commissioners supports all of the company’s strategic measures so that a culture of excellent performance, strong governance, and sound risk management continue to be the foundation for enhancing PLN Indonesia Power’s contribution to PLN’s sustainable performance,” he said. Bernadus added that the company’s performance achievements throughout 2025 were the result of the commitment of all company personnel to executing the business strategy in a disciplined and results-oriented manner. “Throughout 2025, the achievement of electricity sales, the completion of strategic power plant projects, and solid financial performance are evidence of our commitment to delivering the best performance for shareholders,” he explained. Going forward, he added, PLN IP will continue to strengthen operational excellence, accelerate the execution of programmes in the RUPTL, and drive a sustainable green transformation so that PLN Indonesia Power can provide added value for the country and the public. Bernadus added that the company has also followed up on the majority of directives from the General Meeting of Shareholders and the board of commissioners according to plan, while directives still in process continue to be executed according to the established completion targets. Looking ahead, he said, PLN Indonesia Power will continue to strengthen its role as a generation subholding by enhancing plant reliability, developing new and renewable energy, fostering technological innovation, and reinforcing sustainable business.
