PLN Indonesia Power supports energy transition through Solartech 2026 event
Jakarta (ANTARA) - PT PLN Indonesia Power (PLN IP) is strengthening its commitment to supporting the national energy transition by participating in the Solartech Indonesia 2026 event, held from 22-24 April 2026 in Jakarta.
PLN Indonesia Power’s President Director, Bernadus Sudarmanta, stated in Jakarta on Friday that the company’s participation in the event is a tangible contribution to accelerating the development of clean energy in Indonesia.
“PLN Indonesia Power’s participation in this event is concrete proof of the corporation’s commitment to supporting the energy transition ecosystem. We are committed to delivering clean energy and supporting the achievement of the Electricity Supply Business Plan (RUPTL) through the development of infrastructure and solar power plants (PLTS) across Indonesia,” he explained.
The event, which concluded on Friday, was organised by GEM Indonesia and is one of the largest renewable energy exhibitions in Southeast Asia.
GEM Indonesia’s President Director, Baki Lee, stated that this forum is a strategic momentum in driving growth in the energy sector, particularly in electricity.
Several stakeholders attended the occasion, including the Secretary of the Director General of Law Enforcement at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM), Sahid Junaidi, PLN Indonesia Power’s President Director Bernadus Sudarmanta, and CEOs from Indonesian electricity associations such as Apamsi, Aptiknas, and Aperlindo.
Sahid Junaidi, Secretary of the Director General of Law Enforcement at the Ministry of ESDM, conveyed that the government is preparing the latest National Energy General Plan (RUEN) that aligns with the net zero emission (NZE) target by 2060.
He emphasised that solar energy has the greatest potential compared to other new renewable energy sources, including through the development of rooftop solar power plants (PLTS).
“The government is also pushing for the acceleration of solar energy utilisation. President Prabowo Subianto targets the construction of PLTS up to 100 GW within the next 2-3 years (2026-2028) to accelerate the energy transition and strengthen national energy resilience. We hope for support from all parties to realise clean energy self-sufficiency in Indonesia,” Sahid stated.
At this event, PLN Indonesia Power showcased various energy transition innovations through its subsidiaries, namely PLN Indonesia Geothermal, Trina Mas Agra Indonesia, and PLN Indonesia Power Services.
PLN IP also introduced Bareto Coffee, a fostered partner of PLN UBP Saguling, as part of its support for empowering MSMEs and strengthening the local economy.
“This active participation is part of the company’s strategic steps to strengthen its role as the driving force of national energy transformation towards a sustainable future,” Bernadus said.
