PLN Indonesia Power Strengthens Governance and Business Transformation of Subsidiaries
JAKARTA – PLN Indonesia Power (PLN IP) has ratified the Annual Report and Financial Report for the 2025 fiscal year for all its subsidiaries through a General Meeting of Shareholders (RUPS). This step is part of strengthening corporate governance while ensuring all entities are healthier, more accountable, and contribute optimally to the performance of the PLN Group.
During the RUPS, PLN Indonesia Power also highlighted three main achievements of the 2025 Management Contract, namely 2025 financial performance, 2025 business performance, and 2025 strategic achievements. These three aspects serve as important indicators in assessing the effectiveness of subsidiary management, from maintaining financial health and strengthening the business portfolio to supporting the achievement of corporate targets in a sustainable manner.
As the largest generation sub-holding within the PLN Group, PLN Indonesia Power continues to encourage its subsidiaries not only to grow commercially but also to become more adaptive in responding to the needs of the electricity industry. The role of subsidiaries is increasingly strategic in supporting the operational reliability of power plants, corporate efficiency, clean energy development, service innovation, and strengthening the business value chain of the PLN Group.
Bernardus Sudarmanta, President Director of PLN Indonesia Power, stated that the RUPS is not merely an annual agenda but a crucial forum to ensure all subsidiaries are moving in a direction aligned with the PLN Group’s transformation. “The ratification of these annual and financial reports is a form of corporate accountability to shareholders and all stakeholders. PLN Indonesia Power’s subsidiaries must continue to grow healthily, productively, and make tangible contributions to supporting PLN’s best performance,” said Bernadus.
He added that strengthening subsidiary governance is a fundamental foundation for maintaining the company’s competitiveness amidst the dynamics of the energy industry. Therefore, PLN Indonesia Power continues to encourage asset optimisation, competency enhancement, business process efficiency, and innovations that have a direct impact on corporate performance.
“The RUPS is a momentum to ensure all business entities have a business direction that is aligned with the PLN Group’s transformation. Good governance must be reflected in improved performance, efficiency, and value creation for the company,” said Bernadus.
Through this RUPS, PLN Indonesia Power ensures that all subsidiaries are on a prudent, transparent growth path aligned with the PLN Group’s transformation direction. This forum also serves as an affirmation that the 2025 achievements must be a stepping stone to strengthen performance in the following year, both in terms of finance, business, operations, and governance.
Going forward, PLN Indonesia Power will continue to strengthen synergy with all subsidiaries to create more productive performance, stronger governance, and a greater contribution to national energy security. With solid collaboration, subsidiaries are expected to play a greater role in supporting PLN to become a world-class company that is excellent, innovative, and sustainable.
