PLN Greater Jakarta ensures safe electricity supply during Lebaran exodus
Jakarta — PT PLN (Persero) Unit Induk Distribusi (UID) Jakarta Raya has confirmed that electricity supply in DKI Jakarta and surrounding areas remains safe and in surplus throughout Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah.
“PLN’s primary role during Eid al-Fitr is to ensure the community has access to electricity that is safe and reliable,” said General Manager of PT PLN UID Jakarta Raya, Moch. Andy Adchaminoerdin at PLN UID Jakarta Raya’s headquarters in Central Jakarta on Friday.
This condition is expected to meet the electricity requirements of the community during the exodus period and the upcoming Lebaran celebrations.
Andy stated that PLN plays a crucial role in enabling the community to celebrate Eid al-Fitr comfortably through the provision of reliable electricity.
He also explained that the electrical system in PLN UID Jakarta Raya’s operational area currently operates at a surplus. This provides PLN with sufficient capacity to maintain stable electricity supply during increased activity levels during Lebaran.
With these conditions in place, PLN is confident that electricity services during the exodus and Eid al-Fitr celebrations will run smoothly without significant disruptions.
Beyond maintaining the reliability of the electrical system generally, PLN is also taking various precautionary measures by conducting inspections at several strategic locations that are likely to experience increased activity during the exodus and return flow around Lebaran. These include transportation centres and public gathering points such as Gambir Station, Senen Station, Tanjung Priok Port and Halim Perdanakusuma Airport area.
PLN has ensured that all electrical infrastructure at these locations has been thoroughly checked. Additionally, personnel have been placed on standby to respond in the event of any electricity disruptions.
This measure reflects PLN’s commitment to providing the best service to the community during the Lebaran period.
Andy hopes that the community will be able to celebrate Eid al-Fitr safely and comfortably without being disrupted by electricity issues.
“With the support of all parties, we hope to continue supporting the community so that the celebration of Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah runs safely and smoothly,” said Andy.
