PLN goes to volleyball meet
JAKARTA (JP): Several national women's spikers have made the volleyball team of the state-owned electric company PLN heading for a volleyball tournament in Thailand from July 1 to July 8.
The team, set off by with the company's director Djiteng Marsudi yesterday, is grouped together with host Thailand, Hong Kong, Shanghai of China, India, and the Philippines. The other group consists of Macao, Kazakhstan, Vietnam, Chinese Taipei, NEC of Japan, and Jiangsu of China.
Team manager Widji Oetami said her squad has set a target to reach semifinals in the week-long tournament. Top two teams in each group qualify for the cross-over semifinals. (arf)
