PLN EPI: NCSRA 2026 Award Proves CSR Transformation is on Track

Company Secretary of PT PLN Energi Primer Indonesia (PLN EPI), Mamit Setiawan, stated that the Platinum Alignment award in the Nusantara CSR Awards (NCSRA) 2026 serves as evidence that the transformation of CSR’s role as part of the company’s business strategy is progressing well. “This award demonstrates that PLN EPI’s TJSL programmes are not only socially oriented but also capable of creating tangible and measurable protection of the company’s economic value. This is the new direction for CSR that we are promoting,” he said in his statement in Jakarta on Wednesday. He added that the organic waste management programme based on maggot cultivation not only resolves environmental issues but also creates a circular economic ecosystem, providing added value to the community while strengthening the company’s business sustainability. This TJSL or corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme also supports the achievement of Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) Number 12 on Sustainable Consumption and Production, and aligns with the company’s commitment to implementing environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles. The award was given for the TJSL programme on Kitchen Organic Waste Management (SOD) through black soldier fly (BSF) maggot cultivation in Gunung Kidul, DIY, which was assessed to have a significant impact in strengthening community economic resilience while creating value in the supply chain. The programme recorded a score of 90.80 and falls into the category of community economic resilience and value chain. Additionally, the programme earned the title of Corporate Economic Protection Index (CEPI) Champion Candidate with a value of 2.72, indicating that every Rp1 of CSR investment can protect around Rp2.72 of economic value in the company’s operational risk exposure.
