PT PLN Energi Primer Indonesia (PLN EPI), through Yayasan Baitul Maal (YBM), has distributed social assistance to residents of Jatiluhur, Purwakarta, West Java. PLN EPI Company Secretary Mamit Setiawan stated in Jakarta on Thursday that the aid, provided as part of Labour Day events, consists of financial support for 50 orphans, elderly people, and the needy from Yayasan Maqom 4 Cikaobandung, demonstrating the company’s concern for community welfare. “This activity is part of PLN EPI and its subsidiaries’ commitment to delivering tangible benefits through sustainable social programmes,” he said. Mamit noted that Labour Day serves as an important reflection to strengthen values of care and togetherness, not only in the workplace but also in relations with the community. “Through this activity, we aim to affirm that the role of PLN EPI personnel extends beyond ensuring energy reliability to providing direct social contributions that impact the community,” he added. He stated that this social activity is part of the company’s efforts to reinforce humanitarian values and build harmonious relations with surrounding communities. Head of Yayasan Maqom 4 Cikaobandung, Ustaz Heri, expressed appreciation for the attention given by YBM PLN EPI to the beneficiaries. “This support brings happiness and renewed spirit to the children and elderly here,” he said. Mamit added that PLN EPI remains committed to implementing environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles, particularly in the social aspect, by delivering programmes that provide positive and sustainable impacts for the community. Through this care, he continued, PLN EPI affirms that the best energy is that which brings benefits and hope to others.
